Hair Extension Home Care Guides

Follow this guide carefully to keep your extensions and natural hair in great shape.

After Application:

  • Don't chemically process your extensions (like coloring or perming).

  • Don't attempt to adjust your extension yourself; please get in touch with us immediately.

Daily Care:

  • Brush your hair with the extension brush from your kit, starting at the ends and working your way up.

  • Gently brush downward to help distribute natural oils from your scalp.

  • Use your fingers to gently detangle any knots, avoiding excessive pulling on the beaded rows.

Sleeping:

  • Do not sleep with wet or loose hair.

  • Before bed, brush your hair to detangle and tie it into a loose braid or ponytail using a scrunchie.

  • Sleep on a silk or satin pillowcase to prevent friction and preserve your style.

Washing & Styling:

  • Detangle your hair before washing.

  • Use the extension-safe shampoo and conditioner from your kit.

  • When washing, focus on cleansing your scalp by using your fingers to massage between the rows of extensions.

  • Avoid pulling or scrubbing the wefts directly.

  • Please avoid products with oils or sulfates, as they can loosen the beads.

  • Use the deep conditioning mask in your kit 1-2 times per week to keep your extensions moisturized.

  • Towel-dry your hair by gently squeezing downward, avoiding any rough handling.

  • Apply a leave-in conditioner and heat protectant before blow-drying.

  • Keep hot tools below 325°F and avoid using them near the beads to prevent slipping.

  • Don't use products with oils, alcohol, or ethanol near the bead attachment points.

  • Use only professional-grade products recommended by your stylist to extend the life of your extensions.

Swimming & Vacation Tips:

  • Avoid getting your hair wet when swimming. If it does get wet, rinse it immediately with fresh water and follow your care routine.

  • Before swimming, spray your hair with water mixed with the Hydrating Mask from your kit to act as a protective layer.

  • Be careful with sunscreen, hard water, spray tanners, and bronzing products, as they can cause discoloration.

  • If discoloration occurs, contact your stylist for an in-salon treatment. Some extensions may need to be replaced.
